About

Welcome to this renovated early 1900s super cozy, impeccably clean hideaway—a peaceful, thoughtfully designed retreat just minutes from downtown Murfreesboro and MTSU. Guests consistently describe this space as “home away from home,” “perfectly relaxing,” and “exactly as described.” Whether you’re here for a weekend getaway, a stay-cation, visiting family, or a quick overnight stop while traveling, this space packs comfort, style, and functionality into every detail. Pet fee $15 per pet/night

Good to know

This is an older home built in the 1900, completely renovated. It does have slightly lowered ceilings at 7 feet. This space is on the first floor. There is an upstairs apartment that is used by an older, quiet tenant, therefore quiet hours between 10p-7a are strictly enforced. We believe it was an old carriage house, but haven't been able to find any information about it in historical archives. It's been renovated to include a small living area with a television and futon couch (if needed for 3rd guest, though the apartment is small and we discourage 3rd guests for longer stays). We have exposed some of the original wood on the ceiling of the living room and kitchen, as well as some accent walls. It still has some writing on it, and is fascinating and beautiful to us! There's a full kitchen with anything you need to make a home cooked meal! Please note the refrigerator is small, yet includes a separate freezer space. (A large refrigerator is too large and bulky for the space unfortunately.) The bedroom is separated by a heavy, beautiful navy curtain and features a queen bed, 2 bedside tables (with complimentary ear plugs if needed), a space heater and fan if needed (though the home also features another heating/cooling unit), closet for storage, and another television! The bathroom has a corner shower, with a sink and toilet of course, and a small open closet space. Currently this space also occupies the dehumidifier, which is a necessity due to the nature and age of the home. You may unplug it if desired, but please don't leave it unplugged for multiple days. The laundry facilities are located in the white closet on the back of the front brick home. The door is never locked (though we do have a key should anything happen) and is labeled with the word "LAUNDRY", so not to difficult to miss. We try to keep it stocked with detergent and dryer sheets, as a courtesy to our guests! Please let me know if it's empty/almost empty and I'll remedy it. We know you'll enjoy our historic getaway, and look forward to hearing from you soon!

LAUNDRY: The washer and dryer are located off the back porch of the brick home across from yours. If you walk up the steps, it’s the door on the right. We ask our guests to be courteous with shared spaces, however if you have issues, please contact us to help resolve them. Thank you

House Rules

"House rules ensure your stay is enjoyable because the previous guests followed the rules. They also ensure the hosts (My wife and I) continue enjoying Airbnb and thrive to provide a clean satisfying experience for you. " *No Events or Parties Allowed - Noise-Level is professionally monitored by Wynd only for decibels not conversations. Quiet time is from 10PM-7AM - If decibels exceed 85 during this time, the guest(s) will be contacted and asked to reduce the noise level. If the level remains above 85, guest(s) will be asked to leave due to violation of house rules. Guest(s) should respect the local sound ordinance. *No Smoking Allowed - Air quality is professionally monitored. Normal Cleaning Fee is $75 per Stay. However, if there is a Smoking Violation, Guests will be charged an Additional Cleaning Fee of $250 (as well as costs of any damaged items) to cover Additional Deep Cleaning to make the home suitable for the next guest(s) stay. Hosts have the right to vacate the property if smoking violations are discovered. In that event, hosts may retain the remainder of the reservation fee. *Pet Fee - $15/pet/day, including ESA's. Service animals are free with proper documentation. *Pet Crate Policy - When dogs are left unattended in the home they must remain in their crates. In the event that you do not have a crate or would rather not travel with theirs, we can provide a clean crate for your pet for $10/day when available. We also request that the dogs stay off the furniture and beds. We (and future guests) appreciate your compliance with our pet policy. *Early Check-In/Late Check-Out - Standard check-in time is 3PM and standard check-out time is 10AM. We do offer an early check-in at 1PM and/or late check-out at 12PM when available. There is a $50 fee for either early check-in or late check-out. If you would like both the fee is $75. Guest(s) must inquire about early check-in/late check-out and pay the fee at least 2 hours before standard check-in/check-out times, otherwise the standard times will apply. *Late Check-Out Violation - If the guest(s) check-out more than 30 minutes after normal check-out time, they will be charged $100 for a late check-out violation. If the guest(s) remains 2 hours or more past normal check-out time, they will be charged that day's base rate minus any discounts/promos. This does not award the guest possession for that day, it is merely a penalty to cover additional time for house cleaner(s) and for the possibility of negatively affecting a future reservation. Additionally, if the violation results in the next guest(s) reservation cancellation/change, the violating guest will be responsible for any fees/charges associated with re-accomodating that displaced guest. *Occupancy limit - the maximum number of occupants permitted at this property at any one time shall not exceed more than 3 Adults/Children and 1 Infant. In the event this limit is exceeded the host has the right to immediately vacate/remove additional persons from the property. *Additional Cleaning Fee - In the event the home is left in an extremely dirty condition, post check-out, there will be an additional cleaning fee of $250. Examples include an excessive amount of trash, spots/stains on walls, spots/stains on furniture, spots/stains on flooring, dirty dishes, etc. *Access to Remedy Complaints - If the guest(s) has a complaint about any aspect of the property such as the amenities, cleanliness, etc, upon the guest(s) addressing said complaint to AirBnB or the hosts, the hosts will be authorized to come into the property and address/remedy the issue up to the guest(s) standards. The hosts and/or their agents will not need permission to solve these issues in a timely manner.

It is a typical city neighborhood, with older homes and newer homes intermixed, lots of sidewalks, and places to walk to just blocks away! We are blocks from downtown Murfreesboro and Middle Tennessee State University.

Guest Access

You will have access to the private newly renovated apartment on the bottom level of a historic home! The top level has a separate entrance and is being renovated to be used by a quiet, elderly tenant. You also have access to a private backyard, with a shared side yard (shared with the front home) equipped with a fire pit and chairs to relax on cool evenings.
